QM Certificate with results from production chain

Hi QM Gurus,

I have the request to create CoA for the productino chain.

We have previously implemented a solution where inspection takes place for a lower level material when creating certificates for the delivered material, which has worked fine. We are using batch management for both the component as well as the finished goods.

In this solution we are doing the following:

Material A is a component to material B which is shipped to the client. Inspection takes place for material A and are printed on the CoA for material B (finished goods).

New soltuion

In the new solution we are inspected both on the compoent material (A) as well as on the finishd goods (material B). We inspect with the same MIC on both materials.

However, we want the MIC result for the component material to be printed on the CoA and not the MIC result for the finished goods.

I have maintained the following:

  • Inspection type 04 in the certificate profile header

  • Both materials are maintained in the box Maintain Selection Criteria and Material Sequence
    • Finished material has sort number 10
    • Component material has sort number 20
  • MIC are entered on the characteristic screen
    • MIC's pulled from inspection lot for finished goods (material B) are assigned
      • Result origin 01
      • Inspecion specification origin 01
      • Sort number 10
    • MIC's pulled from inspectoin lot for component materials (material A) are assigned
      • Result origin 03
      • Inspection specification origin 03
      • Sort number 20

When I create a CoA the MIC results from the finished goods inspection are retrived from the inspection lot to the CoA even though the MIC in the certificate profile is specified to be pulled from the component material.

I have also tried to create a new inspection type (Y4) to be used for the finished goods in order to differentiate between the inspection lots, but it still pulls all results from the finished goods inspections.

When I remove the identical MIC's from the inspection plan of the finished goods, the retrieval of the inspection results is correct - the inspection results for the component material are printed correctly from material A in the CoA.

Any clues?

Best regards

Eva
