Hi QM Experts We normally create Notifications with reference to an already existing Notification (QM01). I got the requirement if it is possible that new Notification is in Status NOPR (Notification in Process) immediately and Partner Requestor should be copied from reference Notification. With additional ABAP coding I guess it will be possible but is it also possible with SAP Standard configuration (Status Management / Partner Determination Procedure)? Thanks a lot for your answer! Hi,
I need to create a certificate which is inspected in one plant and shipped from another.
Business case:
The product is produced in plant 1, then shipped with stock transport order to plant 2 which is a warehouse managed by an external partner.
The product is shipped with outbound delivery from plant 2 to the customer.
The product is batch managed.
I transfer the inspection results in plant 1 to batch classification (class 023 which is client specific).
Problem:
I can create a certificate for the batch in plant 2 using transaction QC22 which displays all values from the batch classification. However, when i create a certificate for delivery using transaction QC20, the value are not dispalyed.
Any tips of how to get this to work?

How to find inspection lots operations that have skips (i.e, that is to be skipped) only. Since we want to know whether there exists a quicker method to find out which analysis have to be skipped.

I'm looking for a means to block the value for a UD code from being copied to the the standard batch record charcteristic LOBM_UDCODE.
I'm woondering if the above FM might help me do this.
Maybe specifically setting the export value for UD_WA_ACTIVE.
Any thoughts or experiences?

We are using BAPI : BAPI_INSPLOT_SETUSAGEDECISION for taking automatic usage decision after RR done. ('89' Inspection lot)
Now the issue is sometimes without UD code selection UD status set by the system.
Status set without UD code is UD ICCO SUB
Please help in this case , your rapid reply will be highly approciated.

Suppose i will do RR in one of the inspection lot 'A' and then my result will be same for all B , C , D inspection lot.
Now i want to copy all the MIC result in B , C, D from A.

Now when I create the notification through QM01 I am getting only first tab as shown below. why I am not getting remaining tabs. Can somebody help me out on this.

I have done GR for FG through MFBF (REM). And stock is cleared from UD also. My FG materials are serial number managed.
How do I reverse the stock? SAP note - 175842 is already implemented in system. Which only allow reversal of 01 inspection types.
Is it possible to include 04 type also?
If not please provide a way around.

I'm facing a "source inspection" business case.
My customer (aerospace industry) would like to perform source inspection. Then I did perform folowing activities :
1. Assign inspection type in material master
2. Create quality info record by a) entering the same inspection type and b) selecting Radio button "Source Insp - no GR".
Even if the material has been checked at supplier place, the requirement is to perform a visual inspection at Goof Receipt. But by using the same inspection lot used to perfom source inspection, no need to create new inspection lot.
I've tried to resolve this issue by unclicking the Radio button "Source Insp - no GR". The PO is received in Quality stock but a new inspection lot is created.

Recently we implemented the process for automatic task determination in QM Notification explained in this instruction:
Automatic Task Determination in Notifications
Everything worked as expected.
But...
Now we want to make a small change to the process:
When a task is generated it automatically would have 1 week for processing... instead of the way its now creation and close date is the same.
We fond this place.... a step included in the process above:
Field interval and unit is used.
After this the automatic task generation in QM01 has stopped working. The transaction times out.
Is this the place to set processing time for each task?
Hope someone can guide me.

In our core model, notification are either created manually or automatically following result recording (defect automatically created).

Hi Experts,
I understand that SAP calculates SLED based on the DOM and TSL from material master if the SLED/BBD check is active for the plant. But I do not understand why SAP would overwrite the DOM by the goods receipt date and re-calculate the SLED based on the TSL.
I have a business scenario as below.
Manufacturing process order has created a batch. As per the business process (life science), they will put the DOM in the batch and the SLED will be calculated based on the TSL. Why they need to put the DOM is based on their process requirement and at this point the process order is 10 days before they can GR.
Since this is process industry, after 10 days, they will do the GR in the PI sheet and process messages sent through the batch job for CO51.
Now, when I come back to the batch to see the DOM and SLED, I can see the DOM is now changed as the GR date and the SLED is re-calculated based on the TSL to a new SLED value.
This is not acceptable and a serious compliance violation.
Eg data,
Earlier DOM/SLED before GR based on TSL=3 years
DOM=02.02.2015
SLED=02.02.2018
DOM/SLED after GR done on 12.02.2015 with TSL=3 years
DOM 12.02.2015
SLED=12.02.2018
Do you know of any OSS notes related to similar issues? Or, have anyone faced similar GAPs and how did you address it?

During result recording recording if MIC is reject we want automatic pop-up for defect recording.
Above setting already existing for MIC.
I checked setting in Catelog profile, cofirmation profile and report type settings.
What appropriate settings is require to get this pop-up.

Hi all,
I want to setup quality management process in store return by customer. Normally in Retail, returns are booked at point of sale so there is no return sales order created in SAP for this.
Can some one let me know, how can I initiate quality management process in store when customer returning something back (do i need to creates return sales order for this?).
Do I need to book the product in unrestricted first OR I can initiate process with quality management?
I want to map end to end process for this where, customer will return the product in store and then store (plant 1) will return it to distribution center and from distribution center (plant 2), product will be returned to Vendor.
Request you all to provide some inputs on what option SAP provides to map this process?

I would like to discuss about the certificate of analysis, presently we are working for Pharma Client.
We are looking forward for the certificate of analysis, I would like to discuss about the issue we are facing towards finished goods certificate,
we unable to print the class characteristics from the Certificate profile which we are maintaining as batch characteristics for the material.
We are using this certificate for finished goods not for Delivery and certificate of recipient we use no recipient.
Presently we are trying with standard SAP Script form.
The listed points are below:
We have certificate profile with 1) Master inspection characteristics 2) Class characteristics.
When we are executing the Quality Certificate of batch QC22, on a print preview I can see only the MIC’s not the Class characteristics.
We have maintained the Batch class for the material in material master classification view; we are printing this certificate in Adobe form (PDF), we have done the assignment certificate profile linking the material in QC17.
I hereby request all the SDN Quality team please kindly help us out for the solution if we miss any kind of setting,
In order to get the class characteristics in Print Preview in standard form (QM_QCERT_01).

I am facing an issue . WE use inspection lot origin 05 against rejection of production order. Once lot has been cleared. Later on from customize program , we reverse this lot. Now stock is in quality . Now i want to move this stock from quality to unrestricted or scrap. But when i do this from movement type 553, 350,321 , it shows error Change the inspection stock of material AAAA in QM only.
Please help me how to resolve this error.

You want to make a stock posting to/from the inspection stock. This is not allowed for material AAAAA because the quality inspection control has been activated by QM.
The following cases can occur:
You cannot carry out the stock posting.
Check both the QM inspection setup data and the movement type for material AAAA in the quality management view of the material master.

DMR Level - 3 Dynamic Modification at Char. level
Only one operation in inspection plan.
Two characteristics are assigned to operation.
10 FA
20 SRI
We are not using sampling procedure.

Issue: The stage change is not happening for FA1 DMR when I receive a second lot from same vendor.
Quality levels are not updating if I check in QDL3. Lot number and UD code is not updating in QDL3.
Lots w/o usage decision is updating as all the lots are already has status UD.
First char. has to skip as per DMR for second lot once the UD is done for first lot.
I have not rejected any characteristic in RR.
The lots are for same vendor.

We received goods from production in PM01,where material is inspected.
We have 10 material - WM managed & 40 material - IM managed
Use QA32 for UD purpose.
From PM01 we move WM managed stock to storage location - SL01 & IM managed to storage location - SL02
How to keep SL01 sloc as defaul in QA32 during moving the approved stock in SL01 ?
