Hello SAP Gurus:
I have searched the SCN database and reviewed the various questions and answers but I have not been able to find a good answer to my issue.
Here is the scenario:
I would like to have 1 generic characteristic (example: Melting Point) assigned to 1 MIC. I would then like to assign the single MIC to multiple inspection plans. The issue is that the generic characteristic and MIC are assigned to different materials which have different specification ranges. When entering a range in the values tab of the characteristic, it is pulling into the MIC. If I do not put in a range into the class characteristic, then it will not allow me to flag the MIC with lower and upper specification limit.
Below is an example:
Material A: The Melt Point range is between 205 and 215
whereas
Material B: The Melt Point range is between 200 and 212
Can someone please provide me some guidance on the above scenario? I definitely do not want to create a characteristic and MIC for each range.
Thanks,
Wally
