Quality Inspection Lot Idoc

Dear All

 

I have been trying to configure the Idoc generation after inspection lot is created. I have gone through all the threads but still not clear.

I have to use QCERT message type. Please let me know what is the triggering point for the Idoc to sent the inspection lot number and configuration, I have also configured for the certificate generation and logical systems.


Transfer of Results from IDOC to Inspection Lot

Hello experts,

 

Following scenario:

 

Inbound IDOC (QCERT) from vendor with inspection results is supposed to populate the inspection lot, which is being created at GR for PO.

 

QM in procurement is active and QM control key and ceritificate type populated in material master record. We also activated workflow, which is supposed to execute the transfer from IDOC to the inspection lot automatically as soon as inspection lot gets status CROK.

 

This works only under certain circumstances in the following order:

 

1. Inbound IDOC received

2. Q-certificate created automatically from IDOC with intial status "2 - Certificate received"

2. GR posting for PO

3. Manual setting of status "5 - Certificate filed and inspected"

4. Inspection lots receives status CROK and the results are being transferred to the inspection lot

 

This is okay as a start, but not ideal. We would like to have the following behaviour:

 

1. Automatic setting of status "CROK" for inspection lot in order to transfer the results as soon as certificate and inspection lot are available.

2. If the IDOC is being received after GR for PO, there is no connection in the Q-certificate to the inspection lot, i.e. the transfer of results will never take place, but it should.

 

Can anybody help and knows, if this is feasible in SAP standard?

Where is configuration node to enter sample category? As per our business requirements I like to create few new sample category. Somehow I'm not able to find in SPRO. Help appreciated.

Dear All

 

We have a scenario in which master inspection characteristic have sampling value,in inpsection plan few MIC have Single result and Some has summarise,we want to upload the data through BAPI,we are uploading through excel file,if all the data entered in excel file then there is no error,if any data not filled in it then tis not uploaded and gives error mentioned in subject

What are the advantages and disadvantages of ...... Creating class >  Gen Chars > Reference > Create Mic ... assign   vs     just creating MICs????

 

I'm not in a true batch managed environment. Process Ind. PP-PI.

Storage location in QPR6 screen

Sample category


You might have seen my mentioned question to differantiate sample. Now I'm coming with alternate for my business - storage location field in QPR6 screen.

 

We use QPR6 transaction to create sample. As of now we don't use storage location or sample location field to create/ identify sample. Now I want to use storage location field in QPR6 screen. So when business create new sample they identify each sample with storage location.

Example; Reserve storage loc, offspec loc, primary sample loc etc...We already have these kind of storage location which we use to confirm quantity in production screen.

 

Now I want to use storage location field in QPR6 screen, but when I enter storage location in initial screen of QPR6, system by default enter plant in "Repetative manufactiring" field. Not sure why? We create sample with ref to inspection lot or order. So we don't want to enter plant each time. So each time I need to remove plant from field if I use storage location.

Second question is when I go to next screen of QPR6 then why system does not saw storage location even though I entered in initial screen? We expect storage location to populate there.

My third question is when I go to result record screen(QA32) - sample selection, why system does not storage location field over there? If it's populate there then business can identify sample as per actual storage location there. Can we do something, so it display storage location there?

Fyi - currently we don't use sample storage location in our SAP QM process.

UOM of MIC

Dear All,

 

We have one MIC whose UOM is ppm defined in One materials Quality plant and "%" in another material's quality plant.

 

UOM of MIC in certificate profile is ppm.

 

Now system considering Certification Profile's UOM.

 

Is there any option to consider UOM from quality plant

 

Currently we are created new MIC for "%" UOM.

Result recording through BAPI

Hi,

 

I want to do result recording, capturing defects and usage decision through BAPI. There are lot of threads related this but i am using BAPI for first time. So it will be helpful if you tell me which BAPI has to be used and input parameter of the BAPI's will be helpful. Kindly send me the steps.

Material Assignment in QP02 or New Insp Plan QP01

Dear All,

 

I need suggestion from all you experts,

Our material master is very vast day by day creation of new material is happening, so all time newly created materials are coming in CRTD status

There are two options we have : First we can create new inspection plan by using QP01 for that newly created material and another is we can do material assigment in existing inspection plan by using QP02.

The Problem is if user will create new inspection plan at that time they are not assigning MIC , they are creating Inspection plan for inspection lot release purpose only, there may be the chance for data incosistency.

From My point of view to assign new material in exisiting inspection plan which is maintained perfect ealier.

 

What would be the best practice to maintain authenticity for this master data.

Problem facing during recording of QP01 in SHDB

Hi All

 

My requirement is to mass upload of inspection plan and for this i am thinking of using BDC.

 

But while doing recording in SHDB i am facing the following problem during MIC entry against operation in characteristic overview screen.

 

1-Selected one operation and went for characteristic overview screen.

2-In the field of MIC i have selected one MIC by F4 search , then entered.

3-Now a window opens where the same MIC , plant and version no exists.In the same window also another field asks for inspection method which is not required in my case.(Screen shot attached).

4-To avoid this i just closed the window then windows for control indicators displayed.After entered the control indicator details system asks for Characteristic description.

5-After completing the above step system asks me to fill Quant data.

6-After completing step-5 the page of characteristic overview screen appears in which MIC which was entered in step-2 is not seen.

7-Now the above processes gets repeated and not able to enter MIC.

 

Did some google but not getting any appropriate solution.Please let me know if i am following any wrong step or the above steps can be avoided by any other method.

I am working on an Advanced Return Management for Vendors and I am hoping someone can give me some more details on this process.

 

I am having an issue completing the SAP recommended Variant #2 to work with inspection originating in EWM and updating ERP.

Area of interest

  • Variant 2: During the goods receipt process using EWM/Quality Inspection Engine (QIE) functionsThe returns stock items that arrive in the goods receipt area and your work centers are inspected in EWM. Simple logistical follow-up actions like putaway or scrapping can be performed directly in EWM. For more complex follow-up actions the responsibility for the follow-up actions can be transferred to ERP. The processing of follow-on documents in EWM, which are created in ERP, finalizes the inspection.

 

Steps

1. Create Purchase Order with UB2 type- Enhanced Rets. STO in ERP with follow up activity type "004-materials posted to returns stock in another plant.  Confirmations are set to "Z004" inbound delivery STO.  Delivery type configured as LLR

2. Create Outbound Delivery in ERP

3. Perform GI in EWM with handling unit from plant A

4. Inbound Delivery Created for plant B

5. Inspection Document created for Material inspection in t-code MSR_INSPWH

However, I want to use variant 2, and perform inspection in EWM.

6. Upon Goods receipt in EWM and Inspection document is created.

 

I can trigger inspection in EWM with Inspection Object type 3. I have set to decide and save and catalog decision codes are aligned between EWW and ERP.

 

The Inspection document created in ERP is not linked to the QIE inspection doc. in EWM.  My decision code data is not passing between the systems.  Purchase order does not update the inspection doc on the Returns Overview and MSR_INSPWH is still in open status.

 

Purchasing document does not reflect Inspection Document until inspection document has been saved and confirmed from MSR_INSPWH transaction.  This is happening manually but I think the data should be passing from EWM.

 

Can anyone provide me guidance in this process to see where I have missed some config?

 

I want to inspect a returned item in EWM and pass decision back to advanced Returns functions to ERP.

QP02 Authorization user

Hello.

 

We work with differents status in inspection plan.

And we like that some status only it will be for some users, not every body.

 

Are there some authorization group to manange who can change qp02 according status ???

Or are there user exist to manage this ???

material goes straight into 'unrestricted' even after QI has been setup

hi SAP gurus,

 

QI has been setup for this material, in the PO and also MIGO goods receipt, stock type has been defaulted to "QI" as well.

however after the GR has been posted and i checked MMBE, the stock went straight to "unrestriced".

how to i know if there's any user exit or setup in the QM that causes this?

Can you please explain me the logic behind below valuation mode with brief example...

 

110 Attr. insp. nonconforming units / manual                 11 Attr. insp. nonconforming units / manual

 

200 Attributive inspection number of defects                   20 Attributive inspection number of defects

 

210 Attr. insp. number of defects / manual                        21 Attr. insp. number of defects / manual

 

 

Like For what scenario we can use and how it differ to each other,

because as i check and run scenario for all, but system response the same for all.

I am also using functional location and using the PM as a task list to generate an inspection lot (14).  However, I am having issues getting  the inspection lot to have a end date. The lots are only generating a 0 day cycle time for the lab.
