vendor approval for outside operation

Hi,

   I am trying to define a process for vendor approval for an external operation. We have service operations on our production orders and we are not using the 04 but only the 03 inspection type. Since the service operation is for account assignment F (production order) and does not have a material as a line item, how do I prevent the 101 goods receipt for the production order in case of an unapproved vendor was sent the service operation. Usually businesses do this as they have a vendor who is approved for other processes and hence the assumption is that he will eventually be approved and is good enough for an additional process. So they purchase at risk. If we had a 04 inspection type I could have given a one time skip MIC for the vendor approval and controlled it there. But since we dont have 04 inspeciton type how do I control this.

I am pretty sure this is a common scenario and someone on this forum might have had implemented this.

UD for batch managed material in source inspection

Gurus,

when making the usage decision for source inspection lot. the usage decision can't be made until a batch is specified.meanwhile the business owner creates the batch during goods receipt if the source inspection is successful.

how can we make the usage decision for a source inspection lot  without specifying a batch ??

Transfer posting via notificatio

Hi,

    I am using the action box to do a transfer posting from unrestricted use stock to quality stock. However the system in std SAP does not change the storage location while doing the transfer posting. Do I need an enhancement for that? We have a seperate quarantine location for Q stock and the requirement is to move it from unrestricted stock in one SLoc to Q stock in another SLoc.

To call smartform in QC22

In our project , Business want the layout of QC22 to be same as QC20. In QC20 , we have used the smartform .So inorder to fullfill the requirement of teh business we ahve to call the smartform in QC22.

 

Is there any possiblity to call the smartform in QC22.

Clearing inspection lot of archived process order

Dear Consultants,

How to move the stock present in inspection lot of archived process order to unrestricted??

 

Our Scenario: We have an inspection lot with "rel" status in quality and we need to move the stock present in this inspection lot to unrestricted by doing UD. But we are facing the error "order does not exist" as the process order was archived.

 

Kindly provide solution.

Stability Study sample labels

Dear all,

 

Our company is struggling with Stability Study label printing which we can't seem to tackle, so I'm hopeful that someone out here can help me out.

 

The issue in a nutshell:

As is typical for a Stabnlity Study, tests are being performed at pre-defined time points (i.e. after 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and 18 months). For each of these time points a storage condition can be determined (pre-Stability Study set up master data).

 

Using transaction QM02 (Stability Study cockpit program) it is possible to print sample labels for the samples used in the study. When selecting the print label option in the menu, user has to define the storage condition for which he wants to print the labels.At this point however SAP will print the sample labels for all time points in this storage condition even if past inspections have already concluded (Usage Decision taken).

Example: For time point 18 months 20 sample labels are required for storage condition -20 C, but when selecting this storage condition, I won't get just my 20 sample labels for time point 18, but also 20 samples for each of the previous times point (3 months, 6 months, 9 months) = 60 additional labels.

 

You can imagine the larger the stability study, the bigger the undesirable effect of the amount of redundant labels printed. We have situations that SAP 100-500 unwanted labels.

 

Note that these samples and their labels can not be used/changed via the regular SAP sample\label transactions due their sample type & category.

 

My questions:


- Has anyone experienced the same? If so, how did you resolve the issue of redundant label printing?

- Does someone know of a way to ensure only labels are printed of that specific time point/storage condition/inspection lot instead of the larger total? (QPR4 or related transactions do not seem to work).

Recording of results through uploading Excel file

Dear All,

 

My users are requesting for provision of excel sheet upload for results recording due to more volume of results recording for inspection points(Weld No.) only for one activity.Please provide some guidance to meet the above requirement.

 

Requirement: During flow line construction welding will be done and numbering is given for welded Joint. After this activity is done Quality inspection will be carried for each weld no. and results recording will be carried for each welding no. Due to weld numbers volume is vast it consuming more time for manual entry of results recording.

Sample Quantity

Hi

 

There are 3 plants like 1001, 1002 & 1003.

They are taking GR in plant 1001. In plant 1001 quantity is coming in quality. In same they want to captur sample quantity.

Samle quantity they will transfer to another plant like 1003. Plant 1003 user will do the testing.

On the basis of user RR & UD in plant 1003, plant 1001 user clear the stock of 1001 plant.

Here user want the link of both plant inspection lot or any other link.

Hi Guys, I’m looking for some advice please. I have created a status profile in QM to decide which inspection plan to trigger for GR movement 101. Example Status Profile Z_100000 has the following steps. 1st del = Inspection plan 0101 *(Model, 1st off) 2nd del = Inspection plan 01 3nd del = Inspection plan 01 Question 1 Can I assign the above status profile to a material+ vendor without creating a QIR? Question 2 Is it possible to set a 4th optional step which is manually triggered?  Option step linked to Inspection plan 0101 As always guys thanks for your help in advance. Paul

Hi,

 

I would like to have more clarification from a SAP perspective and "operational" perspective about the "in-process" inspection using inspection point.

 

I found this (very useful) post : http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-50928

 

In case of time/quantity based inspection points : how/what moment quality inspectors are informed that they have to perform an inspection (for a released production order) ? meaning, quality inspectors have to go to the production line to pick up some sample for inspection?

 

Also, can you describe steps by steps the in process inspection (time/quantity based) from the moment production order is released?

I had used mass updation  for activating the QM view.The updation happened for 3500 of the 4000 materials.For some materials the updation has not happened.What might be the reason?I did not get any message also.I tried for one material manually the msg was No plant specific data exist though data exist

Hi Guru's,

 

I have one batch for which partial stock was in Project stock & partial stock was in unrestricted stock. When next inspection was due for batch recurring inspection lots were created via customized QA07 job. one lot for project stock qty.  & another for unrestricted stock qty.

 

User from QA rejected the lot which was created for unrestricted qty. & posted it to block stock. Then via MB1B he moved this stock to unrestricted via 343 mvmt. After that he ran QA07 due to which this qty. added to the inspection lot which was created for project stock.

 

Now when the user trying to post the qty. from usage decision he is getting error deficit of BA QI stock. Message no. M7021. i can see on inspection lot stock screen inspection lot qty. is 8.880 & quantity to be posted is 28.880.Also i can see special stock indicator Q in the screen.

 

In MMBE 8.880 kg is shown against project quality stock  & 20 kg is shown against quality stock. But lot for both the stocks is same. Pls. guide how to resolve the issue.

Dear Experts,

 

Please help.

 

I searched for this content but didn't get content matching my requirement.

 

I am trying to do stock transfer through movement type 322 when this error message is stopping me from posting the document.For this material inspection set up is active.

 

I want to transfer the stock from unrestricted area to quality inspection stock.Can you please suggest how to transfer the stock from unrestricted to quality inspection for this material.Can I do it with some t.code in QM.

 

If so please guide me how to transfer the stock.

i request somebody to kindly share with me a business blue print for SAP QM. i've entered a implementation project from a support role and in between a very tight schedule scenario to complete the sign off. and i stand with no documentation or sample BBP's or previous BBP's as my reference. any help would be a saving act for me. thanks in advance.

I am a new user and would like to know more information about the Item Section of Notifications.  Specifically we have Object Part, Damage & Cause and I would like to know if there are others available Like Location and action.   I would like to know what Object we had a problem with, What was wrong with it, what the cause was, what position it was in and what action was taken to rectify.

At this stage I have no idea how to get all of this info in code format to enable analysis.
