For eg:changed to say “Reverse UD” instead of “Confirm UD” if the t-code is QA12 or QA14.

I have a semi finished material. In Material Master (QM view), I have selected 04 inspection type, and maintained the Average Inspection Duration to be 20 days.
Now my question is , how to prevent end user to release Inspection lot by accident /mistake before the specified date?
SAP should not allow to release it before 20 days.
can someone please guide on this.

My client is having a requirement of mentioning sample receiving time and sample clearance time while doing result recording so they can evaluate how much time it took for giving the result for that particular sample. I have checked in the forum but could not able to find any appropriate result. Would request you to please guide me for mapping this in SAP.

Dear All,
We have a number of customized movement type 311. Depending upon the requirement,numbner of inspection plan are existing.
We need to assign the specific movement type and inspection plan .
Other wise when inspeciton lot is created for stock transer, the user has to select the group from a big list which the client is reluctent to accept.
Is there any enhancemet available to select the appropriate group.
Example is given below
Customized movemnet type of 311 section - Inspection paln group and couter number
Z11 Group 4 - Counter1
Z12 Group 4 - Counter 2
Z13 Group 4 - Counter 3
Z14 Group 4 - Counter 4

I have requirement to display some legacy data in the Quality notification via Action Box link.
We already have the connection build from legacy to SAP via web services. Right now we want that data to be display when we hit the action box link in Quality Notification(QM02).
I configured the function module "QISD_SOLUTION_DATABASE" .
The link in the action box is shown as below
When I hit on the link in action box, I want to display on the data that is passed from legacy data in the pop-up.
Can someone suggest what can be done so that I only want to display the data in the test field and don't want to show anything below that is cross-marked.

Step 1 : in QC16 tocde, the material and customer combination is assigned to 2 Certificate profiles.
I have checked these two certificate profiles separatly in QC03 tcode and found the same material and customer combination in the two certificate profiles.
Step 2 : then one certificate profile with material and customer is deleted from QC16.
But the material and customer combination is available for 2 certificate profiles while checking through QC03 Tcode even though for one certificate profile
is deleted.
Can any one please tell me how can it possible.
please ask me if you need any further information.

The recurring inspection plan has adpoted sample-drawing procedure which consider containers number.
Now when use QA07 transaction code to create an inspection lot, the inspection lot has not calculated sample quatity.
Bescause the inspection lot has no containers numbers and unit, which information has to be inputed by QA02 manually.
any experts can give any advice about this question, the containers number has maintained when purchase order received for purchased inspection, why should we maintain again for recurring inspection lot for the same material and batch.
Create an FMEA object with a function list, defect and an action.
Now create a new FMEA using the template option and selecting the copy actions indicator. use the newly created FMEA object as reference for creating a new one.
When i try to save it. It gives a "data not saved error", as it fails to save it.

I am facing problem while using the Inspection by configuration. During COHV when user releases the production order, then system creates inspection lot even there is no QM operation assigned. But as i have used Inspection by configuration setting in material master so definitely system will assign the MIC in last PP related operation and generates the inspection lot.
Now, i need some exit or workaround so that i will skip the inspection lot creation step if no QM operation is there. system will generate only when QM operation assigned in PP order via COHV. CO01 it's working fine as already one exit is implemented but while using COHV, this exit fails and allow inspection lot creation even though there is no QM operation.

We have a requirement of master inspection characteristics results to be made compulsory for those characteristics having an controlled indicator maintained as required.
Means, when I do result recording through QE51N system should allow me to save the document if I have not maintained the results in MIC having controlled indicator as "Required"
For Example:
If I have maintained 10 characteristics to the material through QP01 out of which 6 characteristics are having a controlled indicator as required and rest are "optional", then while doing the result recording system should give me an error if I have not mentioned the result for any of the 6 characteristic.
Or
It is also OK if the system allows me to save without entering results but it should not allow me to post the stock to unrestricted through QA11.

I am having one strange issue. When I am performing the UD I am entering the qty to be posted in unrestricted and the quantity to be consumed to sample usage and then saving. But only the qty to be posted into unrestricted is moving but the sample usage qty still showing in QI stock though I can see the material document create for 331 movement.

I have a client user question:
I have two COAs.
One has a material quantity posting among the product overview info. when printed
One does not.
I've compared the profiles and I see no difference.
I've compared many other COAs from this mat./batch combo and see the qty. postings
In this current comparison, I see both mat. postings via the mat. docs. into QI and tht's OK
Can you tell me why I cannot see the qty. on one but can on the other?

Hi all,
I have an issue when creating a notification manually through QM01. For every notification type I enter a batch and hit enter and the batch field disappears. I checked the table QMEL and the value is not saving. The material is batch managed and the batch has inventory in it. I checked the field selection layouts and nothing is hidden. Has anyone ever seen this before? Linking the batch to the notification is crucial and I cannot figure out why it disappears. Thank you for your help.

I am using 03 inspection type with multiple operations being inspection relevant in the same prod order. These MICs have an AQL and thus a sample size gets calculated. However if the production order qty decreases due to scrapping, then the sample size for the succeding operations does not reduce automatically. How can I acheive that ?

I have read number of posts on this subject and know that restrsicted is for batch status and blocked stock is a stock type etc etc. However for a batch managed mtl, if I fail inspection and I need to quarantine it, do I need to post it to blocked stock AND make it restricted ? Or can I do either of the two ? Can a batch be put in blocked stock and also set to restrcited ? What purpose would it serve ?
