Default value for inspection characteristic in IP or routing

Hi Everyone,

 

So I have done a bit of research on this topic and found some good answers but nothing that is exactly what I'm looking for. Here is the scenario:

 

We have a value that is 10 and that value is the same let's say 95% of the time for inspection lots. We would like it to default to 10 in results recording and users only change it in instances where it isn't 10.

 

I know you can do copy inspection results functionality using customization, but that isn't necessarily what we want because if the last inspection lot the user input a 9, we wouldn't want that to pull in.

 

We don't necessarily need this to be a MIC, it could just be an inspection characteristic within an inspection plan or a routing. I read somewhere that you can do this if it is a manually entered inspection characteristic but didn't see an explanation of how.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EWBQM does not allow multiple specifications

Hello all,

 

I want to use multiple specifications for one of the materials, I have configured the system as per the guide in http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/2004a166-0a75-2c10-0caf-dc63b76c68fe?quicklink=index&…, when I do the material-task list assignment with the objects I have defined for object type Country, I got an error QPMS007: Object type Country is not allowed with initial field COUNTRY.

 

Please kindly let me know how to assign multiple specifications.

Selection using QE72/QA32 with batch classification is not working

Hi SAP experts,

 

I have a problem on the selection using QE72 or QA32 with batch classification (MM).

I fill my plant and click on "Class selection" , then fill Class  (a specific one) and class type (023).

I fill two caract., the first one is managed in character so when I populate my value, I have to select "Find String".

The other one is numeric.

 

The program find 2 references, which is OK for me.

I select all of them  (by select all the table and click on the 1rst button on the left) and back to the selection screen (the button is now in green).

I execute my selection and SAP shows me  inspection lot which are not corresponding to the previous criteria.

The inspection lot  selected by SAP are only corresponding to the criteria of the selection screen without taking into account the selection made with the classification.

QM Certification Issue during GR

Hello Experts,

 

We have an issue during GR QM certificate and cannot find any similar solution on SDN.

 

Here is our problem ---

 

We did a GR for Purchase Order with QM Certificate required active and it works as expected.

 

For the second GR for the same purchase order and same batch we get below shown error -

 

"A category *** inspected cert. is also required for follow-up deliveries"

Message no. QA313

 

In Material Master in QM  we have

 

QM Proc active - Checked

Control key - Maintained

Certificate - Maintained

Inspection Type - 01 - Lot creation for material, batch and storage location.

 

Please advise if there is missing.

 

It's a critically issue and we would highly appreciate your prompt feedback.

Auto UD for In-process inspection

Hi SAP experts,

We are creating inprocess inspection lots for process orders. Digital signature is applied through QM authorization group maintained in material master.

When QA41 back job is triggered for Auto UD, getting error because of digital signature is appiled and no auto UD is done.

 

Can anybody throw light on htis how to resolve this issue?

DMR at char. level for all materials assigned to the Insp. Plan

Hi all,

 

We're using a DMR at characteristic level (only for 2 characteristics in a inspection plan of 4) that allows enter results at the very first inspectioin lot created each day per material.

 

It's working fine pear each material, but we would like to have is the skip status would be set to all materials assigned to that inspection plan.

 

I mean, if A and B materials are assigned to this inspection plan and we create the following inspection lots, the system works in this way:

 

Material - Lot - Skip status

 

A - L1 -  Not Activated (Results must entered)

A - L2 - Activated (Results cannot be entered)

B - L3 - Not Activated (Results must entered)

 

and we would like to have is:

 

Material - Lot - Skip status

 

A - L1 -  Not Activated (Results must entered)

A - L2 - Activated (Results cannot be entered)

B - L3 - Activated (Results cannot be entered)

 

So at the end we want to enter results one time per day in some specific inspection characteristics of all materials assigned to the same insp. plan.

 

Can this be achieved?

Defects recording

Dear Gurus, i have cteated the defect through qa32 screen due to one characterstic value is not satisfying my requirement. from the same screen i also created the notification. now my question is how to close the defect i created in qa32 ? please advise. also advise is there any tcode where i can see all defects recorded.

Inspection Lot did not create

Hello Experts,

 

Using SAP ECC 6.0 for 15 months.  We manufacture many different materials.  Have not experienced this before. The first run of a new material did not create an inspection lot. None whatsoever and went directly to Unrestricted during goods receipt.  Should have gone to QI.

 

Here's what I've checked.

 

Process Order

Goods Receipt indicates stock type = Quality inspection.

Points to a material recipe valid from 10/29/2014 with Recipe Group matching C203 for group number, production version and valid date

 

MM03

Related Inspection Type is defined and active.  It also is clicked to post to inspection stock.

 

HOWEVER, I noticed the new material is designated with Revision A tag and became valid 11/21/2014  (23 days later). So if QM inspection setup lives in MM03, it's tied to material as Material X Rev A.  Do you think this is related? If not what else should I consider?  We made the material just days ago on 1/24/15

 

Also, how do I get an inspection lot created?   QA01 doesn't have an option for 08.  I don't think we configured it.  Only 01 and 04 for stock relevant.

IW51 DefectiveQty field editable

Hi Experts,

 

in IW51, I already made field  "defectiveQty(external)" and "defectiveQty(internal)" editable through tcode OQFA, but it shows like password input field. How to make it display like a normal input field so that we can see what we entered?

No inspection plan could be found

Hi ,Guru,

 

I have a big issue. 

I want to set an example of FQC (Final quality control) for a material.

After I actived a QM view with the 04 inspection type , 

I created  MIC ,sampling procedure 100% inspection  Attributive inspection nonconf.units ,

Inspection plan   usage 5 GR status 4 release ,using a workcenter , control key QM01 ,MIC ,sampling procedure.

I created  production order for this material by CO01,

and I confirm the production order  ,receive the Goods.

 

My issue is I can not got any inspection lot from QE51n, it showed No entries found.

By using Tcode QA32 ,  I have got the inspection lot .system status is CRTD CHCR SPRQ ,I can not do the UD (the function you selected cannot be carried out !).

If I using Tcode QA02 ,the Inspection lot origin 04 ,inspection type 04  ,the tab Insp.Specifications  click  task list /spec. Big issue comes: NO Inspection plan could be found(Message QA 278 )!

 

I have check the inspection plan ,the task list shows the usage 5 status 4 / from lot size 0-99999999/ UOM always PC / Valid from yesterday  Valid to 999/12/31

in the SPRO the 04 inspection types 04 Task list usage 5

 

 

I really create the inspectionplan for the material ,why the system said no inspection plan could be found !

QM-PP scenario

Hi QM users,

 

I am stuck in one of the situation so need all users help.

A manufacturing company XYZ is producing 3 different size of product in a single round or lot and the same thing is practiced 3 times in a day.

Ex: For 3 rounds, pieces are as follows:

Product 1 - 1500 pieces (500-1st run, 500-2nd run, 500-3rd run)

Product 2- 1000 pieces

Product 3 - 700 pieces


After production Product 1 - 1500 pieces goes to 2nd process

After 2nd process it goes to Trimming process (say after 3 hours and 1500 pieces) and QC check is performed as per sampling plan.


Question is, they cannot identify the lot wise defect (as they have accumulated all the quantities of product 1 from all three rounds) in trimming process


How to solve this issue..? Please help..

How to isolate movement type to lot orign - new insp type

Hello,

I have a quastion on the issue : attaching movement type to specific insp type orign.

 

I am trying to activate the process of inspactoin that is triggered by movement type 322 (from unrestricted to quality status)

I know that the standart functionnality is triggered by insp type 08. and the moovement type 322  is connected to the lot orign.

i created new insp type and attached it to the lot orign 08:

now i try to figure how i can define that the inspection lot will be created when i am transfering posting on 322 moovment only and not any other movements that is allso active to lot orign 08.

 

I attached the insp type to the material :

can someone advice me if it is possible to do ?

Automatically cancel goods movement with KO usage decision

Hello,

 

I have the following situation:

 

On our materials, we have activated an inspection type for transfers (MM movement 309 for example).

 

When we make a transfer of this kind, an inspection lot is automatically created, and the stock goes from source to target, kept in quality stock as long as no usage decision is taken.

 

Our goal is:

  • Usage decision is OK -> The stock goes automatically in target, unrestricted state.
  • Usage decision is KO -> The stock goes back in source, unrestricted state. Basically, the material document at the origin of the transfer is cancelled.

 

It is for the second point that I am facing difficulties. Is there any way to reach this behavior using standard customizing only?

 

I think there is something to be done with the follow-up actions in QS51, but I am not sure...

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Clubbing of Multiple Document in 1 for creating 1 Invoice instead of many

Dear QM Experts,

 

I reversed the Migo document containing 17 line items & Unique batch / Inspection lot via QA32 Usage Decision -> Return to vendor. ( mvmt ty 122 )

 

Due to this 17 diff doc generated in system, & Invoicing Dept finds it difficult to create single-single invoice document for 17 diff doc generated.

 

Is there a way out in QM that we can return to vendor & as well to provide 1 single document for 17 line items.

 

it will be great if i am helped with better solution or any customization to be made.

Batch Issue against Inspection lot 03 origin in process lot (Fert Material)

Dear Expert,

 

I have some issue regarding batch issue of in process inspection lot which will be generated against production order 03 origin. when we make Usage decision of inspection lot which will be generated against production order 03 origin in process lot of FERT material here batch is mandatory field but batch is not required against in process inspection lot or Fert material. 

 

whenever we create Usage Decision of in process lot (Fert) Material batch must be entered against each lot. we dont want batch against in process inspection lot.

CUSTOMER FIELDS IN QN

Hello Experts,

 

My client is running SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 7.0 .

 

As part of data privacy compliance & security requirements, there is a requirement to conceal all fields of the customer(Sold to partner function) in Quality notifications for customer complaints.

 

Client intends to display only the customer(Sold to partner function) /partner #.The rest of the fields including customer(Sold to partner function) name, contact details(Tele/Fax etc) and the address as well need to be concealed so users do not get to access these details including partner address( from customer master record)...This should apply at all times Create/change/display QN

 

I tried in SPRO via:-

 

QM->QN->Notification Creation->Notification Type->Define Screen template->Field Selection: Partner Screens.....influencing (Notification type)=**

 

Tried to Hide Customer, List name etc.. but does not work..

 

 

I also tried ->QM->QN->Notification Creation->Partners->Define fields for partner lists.->Field Selection Partner Type Customer

 

Name ->invisible , postal code ->Invisible etc...but does not work

 

 

Basic reqmt is to hide /conceal partner address, partner overview & any access into customer record for telephone address etca

 

Pl can you help advise how to go fwd

How to display insp. method by result recording in QA32 in separate column.

Dear Gurus,

 

 

in inspection plan I connected MIC with method. If I open QA32 --> "Result recording" I see all MICs, but without inspection method. I can display inspection method by clicking button for each MIC. But I want to see name of Method next to name of MIC immediately on the same line. Is there any customizing?

 

I have attached document for inspection method. I find the document attached in the results recording , still i have to click on the TAB to view the inspection method name.
